Warranty

ASSMANN Electronic GmbH, Auf dem Schüffel 3, 58513 Lüdenscheid, Germany, (“ASSMANN”) guarantees the purchaser of this product (the “customer”) that under normal operating conditions, this has neither material nor production defects.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The Warranty period is 5 years / 15 years and commences upon the date of the purchase of the product from a retailer. The granting of a Warranty is subject to the customer registering the purchase within 4 weeks of the purchase date at the following ASSMANN Company internet site:

All Warranty claims require an original receipt for the product as proof of purchase.

In the event that the device should become defective prior to the expiry of the Warranty, ASSMANN guarantees the original purchaser, who can provide the aforementioned original receipt, to repair the product free of charge. Alternatively, ASSMANN shall have the right to supply a new product. In the event that neither repair nor replacement is possible, ASSMANN shall supply a device of equal or higher value. If this is not possible, ASSMANN shall refund the purchase price.


EXECUTION OF THE GUARANTEE

The execution of the Warranty is through the retailer/seller of the product.

The purchaser shall provide the seller with the original receipt, the defective product and a written description of the defect. Insofar as the retailer/seller is no longer available as a contact person, performance shall be provided by ASSMANN. ASSMANN has the right to name a service partner to the customer to implement the Warranty claim.


NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY

This Warranty covers all material defects as well as all production-based defects, subject to the exclusion of the following.

The following are excluded from the Warranty:

1. All products on which the series or article number has been made unrecognisable changed or removed;
2.  All products by which the defect or malfunction arises for reasons other than normal wear and tear, or an omission or reason that is the responsibility of ASSMANN, inclusively and without restriction:
a) Accident, transport, neglect, improper use, abuse or other culpable action on the part of the customer or the customer’s employees, agents or third parties;
b) Power cuts or power fluctuations, power circuits, air conditioning or other ambient conditions;
c) Abnormal operating conditions such as smoke (tobacco and cigarette smoke) and dust or non-compliance with the detailed instructions in the user manual;
d) Force majeure, fire, flood, war, acts of violence or similar events;
e) Defective accessory parts or products connected to the product or parts thereof (irrespective of whether these are supplied by ASSMANN or its agents) that are not a component of the product covered by this Warranty;
f) Any attempt is made by a person other than an employee of ASSMANN or person authorised by ASSMANN to adjust, modify, repair, install or service the product.
3. Excluded from this Warranty are consumable materials, mains adapters, products with built-in accumulators such as a self-contained power supply; LCD panels, wear and tear parts such as fans, mechanical elements or electric heating.
