Local area network

A Locales Network (English. local area network, often abbreviated as LAN in Germany fort his reason) is a computer network whose size is larger than PANs but is smaller than MANs, WANs and GANs. Local networks can be found as fixed installations where several computers have to be permanently networked over short distances at a specific location.
